Thank you for this podcast. I just recently lost my husband of nearly 30 years to brain cancer. He had a very deregulated system and used porn and disengaged from me, the children, and work in order to cope. I realize from the podcast that it was due to his childhood trauma and never learning how to regulate his nervous system.
Your podcast helped me better understand why he did what he did and in turn more fully forgive him.

Thankfully, according to the podcast, I’ve actually been doing all the right things since he passed in order to recover from all the trauma. The biggest help to getting me regulated has been taking 1-2 hours every morning to read God’s Word, pray, and especially journal. I look forward to my time with Jesus every morning. He has long been my “husband” and the sweet fellowship I have with Him is priceless! It has truly helped calm my nervous system and restore my spirit.
